David Dollimore's Disorder Records & The Warehouse Project launch, WHP Records

Today, Manchester’s seminal The Warehouse Project launch WHP Records, in partnership with independent label group, Disorder.

Established in 2006, The Warehouse Project has become a cornerstone of Manchester's cultural landscape. From Boddingtons Strangeways Brewery, to Store Street, and now at the illustrious Depot Mayfield, it stands as a stalwart of the UK’S musical landscape. The main  season, spanning from September through to December, is an annual spectacle, featuring the likes of Fred Again...Peggy Gou, Disclosure, Interplanetary Criminal to Four Tet, LCD Soundsystem to Nia Archives, it’s one of the most important dancefloors in Europe.

For their debut release, WHP Records enlist Leeds-based DJ/producer Bakey, who is a WHP resident for 2024 and will be dropping his debut album via the label. Bakey’s first track from the project ‘Wouldn’t Believe’, lands this Friday. The imprint is expected to release new music from noteworthy talent throughout the year.

The former President of Ministry of Sound and the RCA Label Group, David Dollimore launched Disorder Records in partnership with Capitol Music Group US and its Chairman & CEO, Tom March last year. For its first signing, Disorder drafted in GRAMMY-nominated electronic duo Disclosure. Their summer anthem ‘She’s Gone, Dance On’, debuted as BBC Radio 1’s ‘Hottest Record’, surpassed 20 million streams in its first month and is currently occupying BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM’s A List. It has garnered support from Todd Edwards, JOY (Anonymous), Salute, DJ Seinfeld, Peggy Gou, Sammy Virji and Dom Dolla culminating in headline slots for Disclosure at Parklife and Glastonbury. Armed with ambitions to partner with and sign DJ’s, producers, artists, brands and labels, Disorder represents a new wave of independency, marking a new insignia for music counterculture.
